JoAnn DEATSCH, 72 of Iowa City died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, June 23rd. at Gay & Ciha funeral and Cremation Service. Burial services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 24th at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Johnson County Humane Society. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com .
JoAnn BLOUGH was born August 9, 1942, in Fairfield, IA the daughter of John D. and Beulah M. (STEWART) BLOUGH. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1960, and later received her Nursing Degree from Burlington School of Nursing. She was united in marriage to Clifford DEATSCH. For over 35 years she had worked as a registered nurse for Lantern Park Care Center. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, and avid Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeye Fan; enjoyed camping and loved her Yorkies!
Her family includes her sister and brother-in-law; Joyce and Marv ORTE of Iowa City; 3 nieces and a nephew, Michelle SMITH, Jammy DINNEL, Jessica REMLEY and Doug BROWN; and her faithful sidekick, Holly her Yorkie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford; sister, Margaret; and brother Bill BLOUGH.on June 6, 2015 (sic).
