Joann Lorena LUEDEMAN, 74, of Vinton, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha (note: in Linn Co., IA).
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids (also in Linn Co., IA).
The family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established.
Mrs. LUEDEMAN was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Keota, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha BUCH KIEFER. She married Eugene LUEDEMAN June 24, 1973. He died Nov. 30, 2010.
Mrs. LUEDEMAN started working for CRST in 1971, retiring in 2008.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She cherished her family and her dog, Chewey. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, canning, reading and collecting poodles.
Survivors include: her children, Kathy BURKS and John Scherbring, Jeff PECK and Shay, Terry PECK and Donna, Donald PECK and Brenda, Eric LUEDEMAN and Vernedia, Darla KREMENAK and Richard, Jo LUEDEMAN, Bruce LUEDEMAN and Marci and Lynn ORWIG and Mike; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert KIEFER of Brighton; and one sister, Anna Mae ESTLE of Batavia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
