M. Christine Penn, 65, of Bonaparte died at 7:13 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Graveside service and burial will be held in Old Town Cemetery in Saybrook, Ill. The body has been cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Judes Children's Cancer Hospital can be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, or mailed to the family at 310 Cedar St., Stockport 52651.

She was born Dec. 18, 1938, in Bloomington, Ill., the daughter of James C. and Verla Coit Draper.

She was reared in Saybrook and later attended high school and resided many years in Bloomington. After residing in Florida, she moved to Bonaparte in 1996.

She had been employed as a bank courier and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bloomington.

Survivors include her partner, Aaron Westerfield of Bonaparte; one son, John Penn and wife Phyllis of Hudson, Ill.; one daughter, Cathy Penn and husband Gale Wessels of Stockport; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, John Draper.
