Debra A. WOOD, 59, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Debra Ann WOOD, 59 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Per her wishes, the body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Community Church, with the Rev. Tim DeVries officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visiation for family and friends will be 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the memorial service, at the church.

Mrs. WOOD was born Dec. 31, 1955, in Spirit Lake, the daughter of Roy Daniel and Mary Lee HAGEDORN SWIFT Jr. She married Edward Allen WOOD Jan. 21, 1995.

She has lived in the Fairfield area since 1993.

She worked for 15 years at Parkview Care Center as a certified nurses aide (sic) and a licensed practical nurse.

Some of her interest (sic) or hobbies were: reading, collecting bears, watching football and rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching "American Idol," "The Voice" and "Dancing with the Stars." She looked forward to spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She attended the New Life Community Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Edward WOOD of Fairfield; three children, Tracy ARMSTRONG and husband Greg of Fairfield, Kristen MANWARREN of Emmetsburg and Marcy MANWARREN of Mission Hills, South Dakota; and 22 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Mathias SWIFT.
