Dick David Roth, age 77, 201 South Maple, Fairfield, Iowa died at sunrise July 26, 2004.

His memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Wed., July 28, at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Fairfield Masonic Lodge AM FM 15 will hold a Masonic service at the funeral home following the memorial service.

Family and friends are invited to attend The Celebration of Life to be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club.

Memorials may be directed either to the Fairfield United Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Dick was born October 15, 1926, at Lincolnville, Kansas, the son of Dr. Warren Roth D.V.M. and Miranda Roth. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. Dick was united in marriage to Anne I. Hyer February 16, 1949.

He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 1956, and they moved to Fairfield, Iowa. As a Registered Pharmacist, he co-owned The B and R Drug for 17 years, and later worked at Easter's Pharmacy, with 32 years of service to the community.

During this time, he was active with the Wheel Horse Patrol Shriners, Fairfield Masonic Lodge AM FM 15, Presbyterian Church, Life Member V.F.W. and the Fairfield Golf and Country Club. He was a licensed pilot and a member of the National Rifle Association. After his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed golf, photography and travel to many destinations with family and friends.

Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne I. Roth; daughter, Marshan Roth of Peoria, Illinois; son Greg Roth and wife Geri of Newport, North Carolina, and their two children, Kim and Nick; Dicks twin daughters, Carolyn Jo Frescoln and husband Randy and three grandchildren Alexander, Hunter and Rachel Anne of Norwalk, Iowa, and Dr. Patricia Lee Dohnalek D.D.S., husband Mark and two grandchildren David and Erin of Lees Summit, Mo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack and sister Thayal Hall.
