Jeanette M. Buchanan, 93, of New Hampton and formerly of Fairfield died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at New Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Hampton.

A family funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Buchanan was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Pella, the daughter of Albert and Christina Wichhart. She married Harold E. "Buck" Buchanan Sept. 22, 1934, in Monmouth, Ill. He died Dec. 23, 1986.

Mrs. Buchanan lived in the Nashua and New Hampton communities since 1983. She was a farm homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Lawson of Nashua and Donna Lankford and husband Glen of Sac City; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Christopher Wichhart; and one sister, Alverda Wichhart.
