Joan Diane DENNEY, 65, formally (sic - formerly) of Fairfield, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Behner Funeral Home is helping the family with arrangements.

Joan Diane DENNEY

Joan Diane DENNEY, 65, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Charles Comfort officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the family or Southeastern Renal Dialysis. Cards and memorials can be sent to 701 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville 52567. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. Norton (sic - DENNEY) was born Oct. 31, 1949, in Fairfield, the daughter of Henry Frederick and Ruth Alegra NEAL PLOWMAN. She married Richard Bruce DENNEY, and they later divorced.

Mrs. DENNY (sic) was raised on the family farm south of Douds. She graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1968.

She was a homemaker and worked for 10 years at Community Child Care Center in Fairfield.

She liked playing bingo, watching TV, cats, cooking and drawing. She looked forward to spending time with family and grandchildren especially during the holidays.

She was a longtime care giver of Janet Davis.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rebecca MILLER and husband Jon of Libertyville; two grandchildren; two brothers, David PLOWMAN of Piedmont, Missouri, and Henry "Lynn" PLOWMAN of Olathe, Kansas; and two sisters, Marie SPILMAN of Milan, Illinois, and Patricia HILL of Mt. Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister, Dorothy Louise BELL; and one brother, Frederick Shermon PLOWMAN.
