Mattie L. MANNING, 72, of Bonaparte and formerly of Wayland, died at 2:05 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mattie Louise MANNING

Mattie Louise MANNING, 72, of Bonaparte and formerly of Wayland, died at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Robert Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family present from 5-7 p.m.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 29, Bonaparte 52620.

Mrs. MANNING was born June 8, 1942, in Keota, the daughter of Gilbert and Ethel McNEESE MORROW. She married Rex MANNING July 8, 1964, in Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. MANNING graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Iowa.

She worked as a corn sorter at Pioneer Hi-Bred Seed Company in Mt. Pleasant.

The MANNINGs lived many years in Wayland before moving to Bonaparte in 1998.

Mrs. MANNING was a member of the Independent Bible Church in Wayland.

Her main interest was her family, and she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband of Bonaparte; three daughters, Ardi GREENLEE and husband Dave of Washington, Donna WEBER and husband Dave of Sigourney and Patty MILLARD and husband Todd of Salem; one son, James MANNING of Keosauqua; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Melvin MORROW of Georgia, Donald MORROW of Oregon and Dick MORROW and Larry MORROW, both of Wayland; and one sister, Lola ARBOGAST of Wayland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jean BLESSING; and two brothers, Rodney and Dean MORROW.
