June Naomi MELLOTT

June Naomi MELLOTT, 94, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Per Mrs. MELLOTT's request the body has been cremated and no services will be held. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Belmond.

Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield is assisting with arrangements.

Mrs. MELLOTT was born July 25, 1920, in Belmond, the daughter of John W and Naomi NORRIS CHAPMAN.

Mrs. MELLOTT served as a waitress at Woody Restaurant, Bruce's Restaurant and KC Restaurant.

She liked embroidery, sewed quilts and picture scrapbooking. She enjoyed spending time with family.

Survivors include: one son, Kenneth MELLOTT and wife Carolyn of Fairfield; one daughter, Kathy EHLERT and husband Charles of Carthage, Illinois; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille BERHOW of Kanawha and Darlene TILLMAN of Belmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith MELLOTT; and one sister, Mae DRURY.
