Maxine Betty ADAMS

Maxine Betty ADAMS, 87, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Per her wish, the body has been cremated. A graveside service for family and friends will be set a later date (sic) at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or the donor's choice. Cards and memorials can be sent to: Sherry COPELAND, 2484 Salina Road, Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be made at behnerfh.com.

Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. ADAMS was born April 27, 1927, the daughter of Otho and Gertrude Elma KELLOGG WRIGHT. She married George ADAMS Dec. 21, 1984. He died Sept 5, 1989.

Mrs. ADAMS lived all her life in the Fairfield area. She worked at Universal Producing in Fairfield and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown. Her last job was as a machine operator at Plexco in Fairfield.

Mrs. ADAMS loved spending time with family and friends. She liked helping her neighbors by giving them rides to their doctors' appointments. She liked playing bingo and Wii bowling.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry COPELAND and husband Darrell of Fairfield and Jane Lynn DELANEY and husband Mike of of (sic) Jasper, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death: five brothers, Farrell, Harold, George, Eugene and Glen WRIGHT; and four sisters, Mildred BARNETTE, Pauline WALLACE, Bernice CANADAY and Annabelle JESTER.
