Penny Lou EKLUND

Penny Lou EKLUND, 55, of Birmingham, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Art Sathoff officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus or Jefferson County Health Center. Cards and memorials can be sent to 18754 Highway 16, Birmingham 52535. Online condolences can be made at: behnerfh.com.

Mrs. EKLUND was born Nov. 30, 1958, in Fairfield, the daughter of Robert B. and Bertie Lou KING DLOUHY. She married Mark EKLUND July 27, 2001, in Bonaparte.

For the last 14 years, she and her husband lived in Birmingham.

She worked at B & B Propane in Eldon as a customer service representative for four years.

Mrs. EKLUND enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her three grandsons. She enjoyed going for motorcycle rides and boating on the lake during the summer. She liked listening to country music, especially George Strait.

Survivors include: her husband; one son, Cole BOATRIGHT and wife Katie of Fairfield; one daughter, Claire BOATRIGHT of Moline, Illinois; three grandchildren; her mother, Bertie Lou DAVIDSON of Fairfield; two sisters, Dee SPEES of Birmingham and Pat DAVIS of Batavia; and two brothers, Bob DLOUHY of Fairfield and Dick DLOUHY of Pine Hurst, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by: her father; and one brother, Gary DLOUHY.
