Esther K. SEDORE, 91, of Farmington, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Esther Kathleen SEDORE

Esther Kathleen SEDORE, 91, of Farmington died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Andrew Bunnell officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation, with family present, will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 105 N. Van Buren, Milton 52570.

Mrs. SEDOR (sic - SEDORE) was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Mount Sterling, the daughter of Walter and Allena MADDEN BENNETT. She married Russell J. SEDORE March 26, 1940, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. SEDORE attended Mount Sterling School and church.

She loved gardening, tending to her flowers and doing fancy embroidering.

Survivors include: seven daughters, Nancy LAWRENCE of Muscatine, Susan PARRISH of Keosauqua, Linda HERMISTON of Durant, Phyllis MITCHELL of Bonaparte, Cindy KISLING of Farmington, Candy HORSTMAN and Peggy TROUTMAN of Bonaparte; five sons, David SEDORE of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Lyle SEDORE of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Bill SEDORE of Milton, Lloyd SEDORE of Bentonsport and John SEDORE of Kahoka, Missouri; 33 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rachel CREEK of New Windsor, Illinois, and Phyllis LINN of Loves Park, Illinois.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Harold, Robert and Joe SEDORE; one daughter, Carol PRUDEN; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters; and one brother.
