Beatrice E. WIELONTEK, 98, of Jonesboro, Illinois, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, in Jonesboro.
The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Packwood Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, prior to the service.
A memorial has been established to the St. Mary Catholic Church. Online condolences can be left at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Mrs. WIELONTEK was born May 3, 1916, at Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Hiram Seth and Estelle Clarissa MELLOTT.
She spent her early years in the Packwood community and later moved to Moline, Illinois, before World War II. During the war, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" in a defense plant in Rock Island-Moline, Illinois. She later moved to Chicago and owned a beauty salon for more than 25 years.
She retired to Southern Illinois and resided at the Jonesboro Rehab and Nursing Home.
Survivors include: one son Michael M. RYMAN of Rockville, Maryland; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Peggy INBODY.
Deceased family members include: one son, Richard RYMAN; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
