Marilyn L. RIDGEWAY

Marilyn L. RIDGEWAY, 79, of rural Bloomfield, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at home.

The funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jesse Hill officiating. Private family burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery west of Keosauqua (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 4-6 p.m.

Memorials to Hospice of Wapello/Davis Counties or Pittsburg Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 17689 Varnish Trail, Bloomfield 52537.

Mrs. RIDGEWAY was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Richard and Fern HEWITT AYLOR. She married Melvin RIDGEWAY June 6, 1952, in Keosauqua.

Mrs. RIDGEWAY graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1952. She had excelled in basketball while in high school.

She was a farm homemaker and drove a school bus for Davis County schools for 20 years.

Quilting and gardening were her hobbies.

Survivors include: her husband; one son, Jerry RIDGEWAY of Bloomfield; three daughters, Julie RIDGEWAY of Bloomfield, Sandy CRONK of Keosauqua and Nancy PHILLIPS of Rockford, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Tammy Jo RIDGEWAY.
