Ray C. STONER rites Thursday

Ray C. STONER, 93, native of Jefferson County, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday (note: Nov. 5, 1984) at the Parkview Care Center where he had been a resident for 3 1/2 years.

STONER had lived and farmed in Buchanan Township all his life until his retirement in 1957 and moved to Fairfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Clair Odell will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made at the donor’s choice.

Ray C. STONER was born Aug. 23, 1891, in Jefferson County. He was the son of Henry W. and Alice GREEN STONER. His marriage to Grace V. JACOBS took place Dec. 18, 1912, at Washington. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Millicent EHRHARDT, Fairfield; a son, William STONER, Fairfield; 200 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren.

STONER was preceded in death by two daughters (note: Henrietta STONER and Dorothy STONER NELSON), one brother and a sister.

Admin. note: According to the Social Security Death Index online, Ray was born on the 24th. Wife Grace died in 1990 and they are buried in Lot Old.P.008.
