Nona J. BANE

November 30, 1925 ~ September 24, 2014 in Wenatchee, WA

Nona J. BANE formerly of Scranton, IA, was born on November 30, 1925, to James and Velma SILBAUGH. Velma passed away when Nona was an infant. Her father later married Mildred HINER and it was then she acquired step-sister, Eleanor. A few years later, she became big sister to her half brother, Bob, and half sister, Carmen. Nona grew up in Iowa and married Dorsey BANE on December 24, 1946. They happily had two children Kim in 1955 and Talawna in 1961. Nona enjoyed waitress work, was a past member of Eastern Star, and was an accomplished artist. She was happiest fishing the rivers in Iowa.

Nona is survived by two loving children, her son, Kim Bane (and his wife Keum OK) of Michigan; daughter, Talawna SUKOVATY of Washington; four deeply loved grandchildren, Michael (Chicago, IL) Gina (San Francisco, CA) Brooke and Travis (Washington) two great-grandchildren.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Dillavou Cemetery in Kendrick Township, Iowa. Arrangements are assisted by Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, IA
