Bertha STORTZ rites Saturday

Bertha A. "Delphia" STORTZ, 96, 503 W. Madison, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service starts. A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. STORTZ was born Aug. 20, 1891 at Perlee, the daughter of Lars P. and Johanna NELSON. She lived her entire life in Jefferson County. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. On Feb. 25, 1915 at Lockridge, she married Henry STORTZ, who died May 13, 1938.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen CRITES, Margaret STORTZ, both of San Diego, Calif., Bettye BLAKELY of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, Willard of Libertyville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A sister, five brothers and an infant daughter preceded her in death.
