Gladys M. HOHL, 93, of Keosauqua died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua, where she had resided since 2011.
The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Larry Shipley officiating.
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with family present 6-8 p.m. Cremation will follow the service with private burial of cremains in St. Peter's Cemetery, Franklin.
Memorials to St. Peter's Church can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 369, Keosauqua 52565.
Mrs. HOHL was born May 24, 1921, near Franklin, Lee County, the daughter of Adolph and Myrtle THOMPSON BLACKSMITH. She married Carl E. HOHL Dec. 22, 1941, in St. Peter's Church, Franklin. He died May 21, 2010.
She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, was a homemaker and worked in the office of Hohl & Hohl Hardware and Implement Store in Keosauqua. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, had been a member of P.E.O. and TTT societies and other community organizations and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda HOAGLIN of Pheonix, Arizona, and Cynthia MORRIS and husband Virgil of Keosauqua; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy HUCKABEE of Palmyra, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents;, (sic) two sisters, Doris LAKE and Marie YODER; two brothers, Everett and Carol BLACKSMITH; and a son-in-law, Doug HOAGLIN.
