William David PECH

William David PECH, 48, Des Moines, died Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

A memorial service for PECH will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at Caldwell-Raddatz Funeral Home and Crematory in Urbandale.

PECH was born in Fairfield, the son of David and Arlene PECH. He graduated from Fairfield High School, and later from Iowa State University with a degree in hotel and restaurant management. He married Darcy DUPPONG. He was employed at True Green in Ankeny.

He was engaged to Kathy YOUNG. He developed ALS and had to enter Fleur Heights Center, where he had been the last couple of years. He loved cooking and being with his band.

He is survived by his daughter, Morgan PECH; five sisters, Jane MILLER, Sharlyn PECH, Roxanne (Steve) HICKENBOTTOM, Jeanette (Tom) TIMMERMAN and LeAnn FREDRICKSON; seven nieces and nephews.
