Monday, March 15, 1993Local business owner LAMB dies
Harold V. LAMB, 70, 306 S. Main St., died Friday afternoon at his home.
The service was at 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. A Masonic service was conducted by Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 AF and AM Sunday afternoon at Behner Funeral Home. The family requests memorials to Fairfield Public Library Building Fund or First United Methodist Church.
LAMB was born Feb. 24, 1923, in Grinnell, the son of Harrison and Nellie HARNESS LAMB. He graduated from Grinnell High School and in 1949 from Parsons College. He married Charlotte PIERSON on Aug. 11, 1951, in Fairfield. A resident of the Fairfield community for 47 years, he joined Pierson and Pierson in 1952, was a plumbing and heating contractor and owned Pierson and Pierson Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 AF and AM, KAABA Shrine Temple, Fairfield Shrine Club, Elks Lodge 1192, Friendship Force, Fairfield Golf and Country Club, Walton Club, Abracadabra, VFW, and a member and past president of Rotary Club.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Michael of Santa Monica, Calif., Steven of Fairfield; a daughter, Susan VOSS of Des Moines; five grandchildren; four brothers, John of Waterloo, Leonard of Newton, Brook of Grinnell, Delmar of California; four sisters, Goldie LAMB of Waterloo, Violet SEEHORN of Ankeny, Joyce LAIRD of Arizona, Addie GRAY of California. His parents and a sister, Rachel, preceded him in death.
