Timothy Edward VORWERK

Timothy Edward VORWERK, 55, of Burlington, died at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

The body has been cremated. No visitation or service is planned. Burial will be at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery (note: in West Burlington, Des Moines Co., IA).

Arrangements are in the care of Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory in Burlington.

Mr. VORWERK was born July 4, 1959, in Burlington, the son of James E. and Mary Helen McINTIRE VORWERK.

He was a 1977 graduate of Burlington High School.

He worked at the Hy-Vee store on Agency Street in Burlington.

Mr. VORWERK enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on cars, his house, cleaning up leaves and making people laugh.

Survivors include: two daughters, Taryn VORWERK of Chicago, Illinois, and Tricia BOYNTON and husband Petty of Burlington; one grandson; his father, James E. VORWERK of Burlington; and one brother, Mark VORWERK of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
