Frank H. "Sheepy" GIBSON, 91, of Coolidge, Ariz., former Fairfield resident, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 15, 1993, at Central Arizona Medical Center in Florence, Ariz.
A service will be held Friday in Coolidge. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home.
GIBSON was born April 30, 1901 in Fairfield, the son of Charles and Anna SCHUTZ GIBSON. He married Elsie B. FOOTE on Nov. 30, 1918. A resident of Fairfield for 40 years, he was a World War II veteran and a member of the Engineers with the National Guard. He was employed with the National Guard at Camp Dodge near Des Moines and retired as a chief warrant officer 4 after working at the State House in Des Moines. He was a member of the Catholic church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Bettye VALCARCE of Coolidge; three grandchildren and a sister, Bernice RAYMOND of Fairfield. A daughter, Ruth Jean ZAPPIA and grandson preceded him in death.
