Nadine JOHNSON

Nadine Genevieve JOHNSON, 84, formerly of Ottumwa, passed away July 21, 2014 at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, IA.

Nadine was born March 29, 1930 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Martin L. and Genevieve Iowa SAYLER ANDERSON.

She married Harvey CONDON on December 22, 1949 and had five children, Kristine CONDON of Altoona, IA, Karol (Steven) CARR of Carthage, IL, Kathleen (Charles) KESSEL of Fairfield, IA, Karin CONDON (Ken Ruppert) of Dodgeville, WI and Kirk CONDON (Julie Cook) of Fairfield, IA. She was blessed with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-children and step-grandchildren.

Nadine married Vincent JOHNSON on September 4, 1976, He has two daughters, Karen Ann (Chris) BAUMGART of Columbia, MD, and Denise (Tony) MARTIN of Des Moines.

Vince lovingly cared for Nadine in her later years. He survives and resides at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, IA.

She is survived by one brother, Richard ANDERSON of Chandler, AZ.

Nadine loved music and spent a lifetime teaching and sharing her gift.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 27 at noon at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel, Mallory Building, Marshalltown, IA.

Memorials will be used to assist a great-grandchild with cerebral palsy and may be sent to Karol CARR, 262 Main St., Carthage, IL 62321
