James "Jimmy" Darnell WILLIAMS Jr., 51, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
No visitation is planned.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 654 19th Ave S.W., Cedar Rapids 52404.
Mr. WILLIAMS was born May 4, 1963, in Fairfield, the son of James Darnell and Lynnette Marie BALDWIN WILLIAM Sr. He married Melinda "Mindy" Anne LEE Dec. 27, 1986.
He lived in Cedar Rapids for the past 17 years.
He worked in construction and was a factory worker.
He enjoyed following the Chicago Bears and muscle cars. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mindy WILLIAMS of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Tanner and Aaron WILLIAMS of Cedar Rapids; his father, James WILLIAMS Sr.; two brothers, Donald WILLIAMS and Jeremy WILLIAMS; one sister, Lynnette HOSTETTER; and three half brothers, Rick HAGANS, Terry HAGANS and Bobby HAGANS.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandmother.
