Lora Lee COLTER

Lora Lee COLTER, age 534, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her residence in Osage Beach.

Lora was born September 4, 1960, in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Janet (DOOLEY) GILCHRIST.

Lora was united in marriage June 1, 1991, in Douds, Iowa, to Chris COLTER and together they shared 23 years of marriage until her death.

Lora had worked 25 years as a service delivery manager for Automated Data Processing in West Des Moines, Iowa.

In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time outdoors watching birds and growing flowers. She loved poetry and had written some of her own poetry pieces and had published a novel "The Concierge." She also enjoyed photography and playing with her dogs. More than anything though, she loved her boys and spending time with her family.

Lora was a member of Faith Bridge Church in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Lora is survived by her husband, Chris COLTER; her two sons, Cyrus COLTER and Calvin COLTER, all of Osage Beach, Missouri; her stepdaughter, Chez HODGSON and husband Bob of Kansas City, Missouri; her brother, Kyle GILCHRIST and wife Lisa of Douds, Iowa; her parents, Kenneth and Janet GILCHRIST of Douds, Iowa; along with several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Faith Bridge Church in Osage Beach, Missouri.

A funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, at the church. Interment will follow at Hedges Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to Lake Regional Cancer Center, 54 Hospital Drive, Osage Beach, Mo., 65065.

Arrangements have been placed under the care of Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Osage Beach, Missouri.
