Clarence "C.B." Dean Ball
May 04, 2004Clarence "C.B." Dean Ball, 66, of West Burlington died at 5:28 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2004, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Lunning Chapel Funeral Home in Burlington, with the Rev. Dean Moberg officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with family present from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Ball's memory.
The son of Harlan George and Ethel Lavina Haifley Ball, he was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Mount Pleasant. He married Lynda Lee Hollenbeck Feb. 14, 1975, in Burlington.
Mr. Ball was a bakery manager for more than 42 years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 579 of Burlington. He camped, hunted mushrooms and sport hunted, watched NASCAR races and listened and danced to country and western music.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Ball of West Burlington and Alan Green of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Julie Falwell of West Burlington, Dianna Frank of Burlington and Cathie Moore of Marion; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Kesterke of Burlington and Janice Peterson of Gladstone, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
