Elzevir THOMA TOBIAS, 79, of Parkview Care Center, died there at 7;50 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 1991.
The body was cremated. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Memorials have been established to the Fairfield Public Library and the Fairfield Community Concert Association. Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. TOBIAS was born Oct. 25, 1911, in Fairfield, the daughter of Leo David and Barbara May FISHER THOMA. She grew up in Fairfield, was educated in Fairfield public schools and received a bachelor of arts degree from Parsons College in 1933. She worked as a secretary in Chicago and California and retired in Amarillo, Texas, where she lived before returning to Fairfield in 1986.
Surviving are two sisters, Wilhelmina WILLIAMSON of Fairfield, Karlene THOMA of Portland, Ore.; an aunt, Jeanne THOMA of Fairfield; two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. Her parents and a sister, Antoinette THOMA, preceded her in death.
