Clara I. HARWOOD

Clara I. HARWOOD, 97, formerly of Batavia, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1991, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

She was born July 23, 1894, in Jefferson County to Frederick and Maggie COPPLE BRADSHAW and was reared and educated in the Batavia and Abingdon areas.

She married Lee ODUM in 1910. She married Guy C. HARWOOD in 1916 in Oskaloosa. He preceded her in death in 1976.

HARWOOD was a homemaker and gave private piano lessons for many years. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church, Dorcas Club of Abingdon and Packwood, and the Mystery Sisters of Abingdon and Packwood.

Surviving are one daughter, one daughter, Eunice GRIDLEY of Fairfield, five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Leo ODUM; one sister, Eva McDOWELL; three brothers, Carl, Joe and Ralph BRADSHAW; and one grandson.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Abingdon Christian Church with the Rev. Keevin Koch and the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery.
