Philip R. DUNCAN

Philip R. DUNCAN, 26, of 601 S. Fifth St., died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Springfield, Colo., of injuries sustained in a truck-train accident.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Katsion officiating. Military rites will be conducted at Brethren Cemetery near Libertyville, where cremains will be buried.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Faith Baptist Church, 806 W. Fillmore Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The son of David F. and Cora B. STEWART DUNCAN, he was born in Fort Madison on Dec. 15, 1973. He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in Fairfield in 1992. He was a truck driver for Midland Metal in Oskaloosa. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He married Olga "Olivia" Ramirez on Aug. 2, 1995, in Oakland, Calif. She survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Olivia Monique and Julian Ruby, both of the home, and a baby on the way; his parents of Libertyville; three sisters, Terry VAN DYNE of Walkerton, Ind., Nancy L. OLIVER of Fairfield, and Linda S. CARTER of Libertyville; a brother, David F. DUNCAN Jr. of Middlebury, Ind.; and two grandmothers, Ruby M. STEWART of Glenwood, Mo., and Emma R. HOFFMAN of Fairfield.
