Edna Mae Robinson
April 30, 2004Edna Mae Robinson, 78, of Keosauqua died at 9:41 p.m Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Doser officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
Memorials to Cantril United Methodist Church or a charity of the donors choice may be brought to the church or Pedrick Funeral Home, PO Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.
Mrs. Robinson was born May 8, 1925, near Granger, Mo., the daughter of Edgar and Bertha Cochenour Smith. She married Ward Robinson Feb. 4, 1942, at the Methodist parsonage in Kahoka, Mo. He died Sept. 25, 1999.
The Robinsons lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Keokuk before moving back to the farm in Scotland County, Mo., in 1950. They retired to Milton in 1983 and moved to Keosauqua in 1993.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of Prairie View Methodist Church in Azen, Mo., and in recent years attended Cantril and Keosauqua United Methodist churches.
Her hobbies were reading and quilting. She had made many quilts for people in all parts of the United States.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Robinson and wife Malonda of Memphis, Mo., and Dennis Robinson and wife Janice of Kahoka; one daughter, Sharon Baker of Kirksville, Mo.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one son-in-law, Phillip Baker; three brothers, Lawrence, Frank and James Smith; and one sister, Mary Gonzales.
