Della P. DeGOOD

BATAVIA - Della P. DeGOOD, 91, of Batavia died Thursday, Aug. 8, 1991, at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.

She was born Oct. 22, 1899, in Osage County, Mo., to Charles and Ellen BACLESSE HAYES. She married Harl B. DeGOOD on Oct. 1, 1923, in Yankton, S.D. He died Dec. 10, 1986.

DeGOOD was reared and educated in Osage County, moving to Batavia in 1931. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Batavia United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the O.D.O. Club of Batavia.

Surviving are one daughter, Irene SWARTZENDRUVER of Bloomfield; one grandchild; 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Belle and Bessie EADS of Linn, Mo. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Batavia United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Open visitation began at 9 a.m. today at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia. Memorials may be directed to DeGood's church.
