Stanley Johnson, 64, of rural Hillsboro died at 4:52 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stockport United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation will open at noon Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials to Stockport United Methodist Church or Respiratory Department of Van Buren County Hospital may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 31162 145th St., Hillsboro 52630.

Mr. Johnson was born April 1, 1940, near Hillsboro, the son of Max L. and Naomi Watson Johnson. He married Judith McCracken Sept. 14, 1969, at Richland United Methodist Church.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Stockport High School in 1957 and spent his life farming in the Stockport-Hillsboro area. He also owned and operated Stans Texaco Station in Stockport from 1968-1976.

He attended Stockport United Methodist Church.

He had been a member of Stockport Lions Club.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Johnson and his wife Elisabeth of Omaha, Neb., and Jason Johnson and his wife Debra of Stockport; two grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Johnson of Ottumwa and Charles Johnson of Manitou Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Patty Anderson of Mooresville, Ind., and Judy Barnett of Elizabeth, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
