Former Fairfielder buried in Texas

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Donald L. COOK, 66, of San Angelo, formerly of Fairfield, died March 15 at Shannon Medical Center at San Angelo.

Services were held there March 17 at Johnson's Funeral Home, with burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Fairfield, the son of Roy and Nellie SIMONS COOK. He married Delores GARRISON in June 1940 in Maquoketa.

COOK's survivors include his wife, three daughters, Donna CARR of Albia, Judith Kay CHEEK of San Angelo and Janet BRANNON of Cave City, Ark.; three sons, Robert of San Angelo, Craig of Long Beach, Calif. and Mark of Petersburg, Va.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two sisters, Willa Bea KITCHEN and Geraldine CRIST; a brother, J0hn COOK; a half-brother, Dale COX; and a half-sister, Velma LOGA.
