GREEN.-Feb. 5, 1880, at the house of her son, Sylvester GREEN, in this county, Mrs. Ruthy GREEN, in her 95th year of her age.
Mrs. GREEN had been a resident of this county since 1844, and had seen a large family of children and grand-children grow to years of manhood and womanhood, many of whom still reside in this vicinity. She was born in Huntingdon County, Pa., where she was married in her 18th year. She was a member of the M. E. Church from an early age, and was a devout, earnest christian woman. Her death was typical of her life in that she passed away peacefully and calm, conscious of a brighter, better future.
