Death of Mrs. HOWLETT.

Many friends in this vicinity learned with surprise and deep regret of the death of Mrs. P.H. HOWLETT, in this city Thursday evening of last week, for during her residence here she had formed many ties of friendship which were firm and lasting. She had been ill for several weeks, but no serious results were apprehended until a short time before her death. Her maiden name was Elizabeth BALL, and she was born in Beaver county, Penn., and was about 40 years of age. With her husband she had resided in this city about eight years, and was universally esteemed and respected. Four children are left to mourn the loss of a tender, loving mother, and the sympathy of the entire community will go out to them and the bereaved husband in this their greatest affliction. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon.

(Transcribed for genealogical purposes only.)

Admin. note: Elizabeth was buried with a stillborn infant, in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot Old.P.145. Husband Peter died in 1902 and is buried with her.
