John Clarence WALKER

John Clarence WALKER, 76, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

No services are planned. The body has been cremated and burial of cremains will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to Parkview Care Center. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 908 N. 10th St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. WALKER was born Oct. 24, 1937, the son of Raymond T. and Fay Etta YOUNG WALKER. He married Betty HAYNES BELL Oct. 22, 1994. She died Feb. 18, 2014.

He lived in Fairfield and the Rome, Iowa, areas most of his life.

He was a truck driver for Desettis for many years and a bartender at the Eagles.

He was a former member of the Eagles Club.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Donnene BELL.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Maxine BURGESS and Sarah DAVIS; and two brothers, Clifford and Richard WALKER.
