Rex F. HOOTMAN Jr.

Rex F. HOOTMAN Jr., 59, of Keosauqua, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at home.

Burial of cremains is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Forest Grove Cemetery in Oskaloosa (note: in Mahaska Co., IA).

The family will receive friends at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 12, Birmingham 52535.

Mr. HOOTMAN was born May 24, 1959, in Fairfield, the son of Rex and Onalee SWARTOUT HOOTMAN. He married Tamara I. DeWITT. She died Feb. 14, 1989.

He grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1972.

He worked at Rockwell International in Fairfield.

He lived in Pella and Oskaloosa and worked at Rolscreen in Pella.

He retired to Keosauqua after his wife's death.

Survivors include his mother of rural Keosauqua; and one sister, Julia CASS of Birmingham.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his father.
