Randi Krane Kreunen

Randi Krane Kreunen, 66, of Mequon, Wis., died of ovarian cancer Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Kreunen was born in Fairfield, the daughter of Arnold and Ruth Kane. She married Warren Kreunen.

She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955, then received a bachelor of arts degree from Parsons College and a master of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow.

Mrs. Kreunen was an assistant professor of history at Parsons College from 1960-1961.

Mrs. Kreunens service activities reflected her commitment to education: serving as a docent of the Milwaukee public Museum, supporting the College Endowment Association as chairwoman of the program committee and a member of the steering committee, supporting higher education opportunities for young women through P.E.O.

Mrs. Kreunen was a participant in sports and recreational activities, particularly tennis and roller blading. She also had been a member of several tennis teams.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dirk Kreunen and wife Tricia of Mequon and Karl Kreunen of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Robert Krane and Sigmund Krane; one sister, Linda Ellwein; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Scott and John Krane.
