Leo M. ODUM, 80, of Fairfield, died Saturday, July 27, 1991, in Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant.
ODUM was born July 17, 1911 in Abingdon, the son of Lee and Clara BRADSHAW ODUM. He married Genevieve VINSON on Feb. 18, 1936, in Eldon. She died Oct. 13, 1989.
Living the last 20 years in Fairfield, ODUM was raised and educated in the Abingdon, Farson and Batavia areas. He worked as a truck driver, farmer and carpenter.
ODUM was a naval veteran of World War II and a member of HC Harness Post American Legion of Batavia.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa BECKER of Keosauqua and Lori WARNER of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; his mother, Clara HARWOOD of Fairfield; one half-sister, Eunice GRIDLEY of Fairfield.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Batavia Cemetery.
