Leona Fern NADY

Leona Fern NADY, 87, former area resident, died of cancer Saturday, Aug. 3, 1991, at Bethany Manor in Story City, where she had lived since March.

The body was cremated. A memorial service with burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Fairfield. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.

Miss NADY was born Feb. 4, 1904, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Louis and Etta MOORE NADY. She grew up in Jefferson County and graduated from Parsons College in 1927. She had lived in Chicago before moving to Nevada in n1989. She had retired from the sales department of Commonwealth Edison Co. in Chicago, was a member of Alpha Gamma Sorority, Chicago Symphony Society, and Commonwealth Edison Retirement Club.

Surviving are two nephews and two nieces. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
