ALLENDER Rite In Iowa City

Memorial services for Charles ALLENDER, 52, former Fairfield resident, will be held on Thrusday at 4 p.m., at the Congregational Church in Iowa City.

ALLENDER died on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Masonic Home in Bettendorf. He had been ill with multiple sclerosis for three years and willed his body to the University of Iowa Medical School.

He was the only son of the late Berta and Ed ALLENDER. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn.

ALLENDER is survived by three sons, John ALLENDER of Des Moines, Jim ALLENDER of Chicago and Pat ALLENDER of Iowa City and one granddaughter.
