Dwaine Grover CREES, 58, of Fairfield died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in Fairfield.
The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Henry-Olson Funeral Home in Estherville, with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery in Estherville (note: in Emmet Co., IA).
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be sent to Angie PACHA, 1220 Country Club Drive, Marion 52302. On-line condolence can be left at behnerfh.com.
Mr. CREES was born Jan. 25, 1956, in Estherville, the son of Lawrence and Geraldine STEELE CREES. He married Karen ODELL Sept. 6, 1977, at Christ United Methodist Church in Davenport.
Mr. CREES lived in the Fairfield area since 1982. He worked at Fairfield Aluminum Castings as a molder and at Hickenbottoms Inc. as a janitor.
He loved to go fishing, hunting, play poker and metal detecting. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include: Karen CREES of Davenport; two children, Jeremy CREES and wife Jennifer of Manitowoc, Wis., and Angie PACHA and husband John of Marion; seven grandchildren; and two siblings, Larry CREES of Estherville and Teri McCUBBINS of Emmetsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
