"MRS. ELIZABETH S. LAUBER DIES TODAY. Native of Switzerland Dies at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Sherm Gault, at 12:15.
Mrs. Elizabeth Steffen Lauber died at 12:15 today noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sherm Gault, at 600 South Avenue B. She had not been well for several years. She was brought here yesterday from Winfield, where she had been living with her son, Peter Lauber. Previously she had lived south of Wayland.
She was born in May, 1863, in Switzerland and came to this country 38 years ago. She was married Sept. 12, 1904, to Simon Lauber, who died 16 years ago. She leaves, besides the daughter here and the son at Winfield two other daughters, Mrs. L. R. Perry of Oskaloosa and Mrs. Albert Boese of Wayland.
Funeral services will probably be held Wednesday morning in the Catholic church at East Pleasant Plain, with burial in the cemetery there. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the L. A. Jones funeral home."
