M. FITCH rites Wednesday

OTTUMWA - Mildred L. FITCH, 74, Ottumwa, died at 3:23 a.m. Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Wilbert Trusheim officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established to Willard Street United Methodist Church in Ottumwa.

Mrs. FITCH was born Dec. 24, 1912 in Fairfield, the daughter of Frank and Anna REID SIMMONS. She had lived in Ottumwa since 1938, where she had been employed at J.C. Penney's, J.B. Sax and another shop. She was a member of Willard Street United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Bon Mot Circle of King's Daughters, and the YWCA. She married Charles M. FITCH June 24, 1938 in Fairfield. He died in 1972.

Surviving are a son, David L., Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; a brother, Dale SIMMONS of Fairfield; two sisters, Joan LEE OF Fairfield and Florence FITCH of West Covina, Calif.
