Charlotte E. LAMB, 84, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. March 19, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Holman officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. March 18 at Behner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church music department, Iowa P.E.O. Project Fund (Sarah Porter Beckwith Friendship Fund) and the newly established Charlotte Lamb Music Scholarship.

Charlotte E. LAMB, age 84 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. -- 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Behner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church with Todd Holman officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Lunch will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the First United Methodist Church music department, Iowa P.E.O. Project Fund (Sarah Porter Beckwith Friendship Fund) and the newly established Charlotte Lamb Music Scholarship.

Mrs. LAMB was born March 28, 1929, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Frank and Charlotte (WHITE) PIERSON. She married Harold LAMB August 11, 1951, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1993.
She was raised in Fairfield and was a 1947 graduate of Fairfield High School. She attended Parsons College, MacMurray College, and The University of Iowa, and received her teaching degree from the University of Iowa.
She and Harold made their home in Fairfield where they operated Pierson and Pierson Plumbing and Heating.
Charlotte was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, and a student advisor for the Delta Zeta's at Parsons College. She performed in and helped with several summer musicals at Parsons College in the 1960s.
She was a longtime member of P.E.O., Women's Club, and Abracadabra, and a past president of all three organizations.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Methodist Church Chancel Choir, director of the Methodist Men's Chorus, and a member of the Meth-O-Weds Sunday School class.
She was the founder and director of the Fairfield Community Chorus.
She volunteered for years at the Washington Elementary School library.
She served on the cemetery board, the public library board, the Greater Jefferson County Foundation board the Fairfield Golf and Country Club board, and the County Board of Health. Charlotte was one of the founding members of the Fairfield Area Community Theatre and served on its board.
She was named Fairfield Citizen of the year for 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Carl) VOSS of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 sons, Michael (Susan) LAMB of Santa Monica, California, and Steve (Angie) LAMB of Fairfield, Iowa; 1 sister, Jean PIERSON of Willowbrook, Illinois; 1 brother, Frank PIERSON (Angela) of Burr Ridge, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Megan (Erin) LAMB and Jay LAMB of California, Zac (Sarah) VOSS of Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew (Sarah) VOSS of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Amanda and Jessica LAMB of Fairfield, Iowa; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, Cathy PIERSON and Jessica McLEAN; and 1 nephew, Franklin PIERSON.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Charlotte PIERSON and Husband, Harold V.
