Bettye DAVIS

Bettye DAVIS, 73, 700 E. Kirkwood Ave., died this morning, Feb. 16, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. DAVIS was born Jan. 6, 1920, at Rumsey, Ky., the daughter of Daniel W. and Tillie LAWTON MILLER. She grew up and lived in the Owensboro, Ky., area until moving to Washington, D.C., where she lived for 10 years. She has been a resident of Fairfield for the past six years and was a member of First Christian Church. She married Berkley DAVIS on Aug. 6, 1942. He survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Cynthia LINDELL of Fairfield; a son, Berkley DAVIS, Jr.; one granddaughter; a brother, David MILLER in Florida; two sisters, Corrine ALEXANDER of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Frank YARBROUGH of Owensboro.
