Marjorie Grace MANLEY

Marjorie Grace MANLEY, age 90, a lifelong resident of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Sunny Brook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Marge was born February 17, 1923 in Jefferson County to Ross and Pearl GLASGOW KOONTZ. After growing up on a farm northwest of Fairfield, she graduated from Fairfield High School in 1940.

Marge married Glenn JOHNSTON on September 29, 1946. He passed away on September 24, 1947. She married Chester L. MANLEY on December 3, 1949. Chet preceded her in death on June 22, 1983.

Marge was a long-time member of Walton Club in Fairfield where she dearly enjoyed golfing over the years and socializing with friends. She was an avid sports fan, devoutly Supporting the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye teams.

She is survived by two daughters: Rhonda (Lewis) STONEKING of Oak Creek, Wisconsin and Cynthia (John) HAHN of Fairfield; two grandchildren Stephanie BILLMYER and Michael STONEKING and three great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Emma and Matthew, all of Wisconsin; a sister Alice "Ruth" SALTS of St. Joseph, MO and a brother John (Ruth) KOONTZ of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Helen HIATT and Erma HARTMAN, and a brother Howard "Bud" KOONTZ.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Jessica Rockhold-Gaul officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to: The American Diabetes Association, The American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
