James Scott Myers
March 22, 2004James Scott Myers, 86, of 2237 Highway 34 East died at 12:28 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home and Crematory, with the Rev. Jan Burns-Hintze officiating. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
Open visitation will begin Tuesday and continue until 6 that evening at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Myers was born Oct. 1, 1917, in Lohrville, the son of Fred and Clara McMahen Myers. He was single.
He graduated from Eldon High School in Eldon. He lived in the Fairfield community for more than 50 years, with his previous residence in Middletown.
He was a self-employed farmer for 40 years.
Mr. Myers was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He was past secretary for Jefferson Oddfellows Lodge 4 in Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
