Lois JAMESON, 78, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Ill.

Lois Marie JAMESON

Lois Marie JAMESON, 78, of Burlington and formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Ill.

A funeral is at noon Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Charles Comfort officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

No family visitation is planned.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Veteran Affairs.

Cards and memorials can be mailed to 10150 Belle Rive Blvd., Unit No. 2610, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

Mrs. JAMESON was born May 8, 1935, in Fairfield, the daughter of John Wishard and Ethel Mae JOHNSON SIPE. She married Rex Levi JAMESON April 6, 1956, in Fairfield.

She graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class 1953 (sic).

In 1957, she and her husband moved to Burlington.

She enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball, playing cards, games, listening to gospel music, watching nature in the backyard and going for drives.

She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Rex JAMESON; three children, Michael JAMESON of Paxton, Ill., Jalene JAMESON of Burlington and Brenda JAMESON of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four siblings, Dale SIPE, Elsie McDONALD, Arlene BUSSERT and Norma THORNBURG.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister in infancy.
