BRIGHTON - Margaret K. EVERHART, 100, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1993, at Washington Care Center in Washington, Iowa.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. John J. Stack officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with family visitation following. A memorial has been established to the church.
Mrs. EVERHART was born Nov. 7, 1892, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Peter and Mary KAUFMAN LAHR. She attended school in Corning and moved to the East Pleasant Plain area in 1918. She married George W. EVERHART on Dec. 28, 1920, in East Pleasant Plain. They lived in Corning until his death Aug. 28, 1924. After that, she returned to East Pleasant Plain, where she lived until her death. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a son, George of Rock Island, Ill.; a daughter, Joanna WHITE of Washington; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Albert, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
